Summit Hearing Aid Center celebrated its 38th anniversary in February. While the technology related to the field of hearing may have changed over the years, the driving force behind patients has remained the same, according to audiologist Leslie Herman. “The one constant that brings people to our facility,” she says, “is the importance of being able to communicate.” The age range of Summit Hearing Aid Center patients has expanded to include younger (50+) to older (80 to 100 yrs). “Artificial Intelligence (AI), incorporated into some hearing aids,” she says, “learn how patients hear best in different listening situations and makes the adjustments automatically.”

Services available to patients include comprehensive hearing evaluations; hearing aid consultations, evaluations, and fittings, introducing waterproof hearing aids; and tinnitus management, just to name a few. “We make the process seem easy while the benefits the hearing aids provide are huge, says Herman. “We provide an improved quality of life for those with hearing difficulties.”
